Some Happy Things

Race for the Cure in Louisville
At the beginning:

Almost done:

Carly and Paul

Maggie, me and Sarah

My new kitchen light. I have wanted a pendant light over the sink for a while; the old fixture kindly obliged me by fritzing out. (Wow! It's hard to take a picture of a light, especially one by a sunny window!)

Max's fall sweater and hat. I hope he is as cute in this hat as I imagine!

And, another addition to the basket: Living Gloves for the Cure! I don't wear kitchen gloves, do you? Peace.

  1. Georgiann- love your compassion for others and your breast cancer basket. One of my dearest friends (and Psi Ote Sister) has a daughter who was just diagnosed with breast cancer. She has 3 little children, is an RN and is having chemo/radiation, etc and a masectomy. I decided to do something nice for my friend and got her a pink Longaberger baking dish. So each time she bakes (which is daily) she is reminded that pink is a sign of hope and strength. She has both for her daughter! When we all band together, pray and support one another- then that tells the cancer to pack it's bags! FIGHT LIKE A GIRL! I have a shirt that says that and that is her mantra! Love, Kristi Nolker
