Graduation Quilt #3

My friend, Ian, has been a college graduate for over a year now, but finally his quilt is complete, and I was able to give it to him at the race this year.  Actually, this is the first of the graduation quilts I had planned out, after having seen one on Pinterest that Jenni from In Color Order had made for her husband, an avid sports fan.   (Take a look at hers, here.)  I borrowed her idea, using the colors of Ian's favorite teams:  red and white for the Red Wings, red and blue for the Phillies, green and silver (grey) for the Eagles and of course, gold and black for Purdue.

Here's the back, all Boilermaker:

Don't look too close -- there were still lots of threads I needed to trim on the way up to Indy, and I forgot to take a picture of the label.
Now, on to the next one -- Ian's brother, Ryan, graduated a year early, and I need to get working on that one.  It should be fun -- his college colors are maroon and gold, and he's a Harry Potter fan ...

Peace.

Back to the Blog

When a dear long-time friend tells you how much he likes your blog, it's time to blog again.  I'd been thinking about some things I wanted to write about, anyway, so here we go.

Peace.
